Meet Dr. Scott Burks (St. Louis, MO)

Scott Burks, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Missouri, St. Louis, graduating with Honors in 2002. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology at Drury University in 1998.

Dr. Burks was awarded the “Young Optometrist of the Year” by the Missouri Optometric Association (MOA) in 2012.  He has been active in the state's professional organization throughout his career and served as the MOA's president in 2015.  Dr. Burks has been involved at the regional level as well.  He served as president of the North Central States Optometric Council in 2017. 

When he is not treating patients, Dr. Burks and his wife reside in Arnold, Missouri. Dr. Burks enjoys traveling, reading, and spoiling their cocker spaniel.

Yesterday I stopped in for a simple repair. My sunglasses needed a screw. The woman who helped me wa... s so nice right off the bat. She even warned me to hold the chair as I sat down because they glide on the floor surface very easily. She repaired my sunglasses right away without asking if I had been to Chippewa Eye Center before. She would not let me pay her stating "it was just a screw". She wouldn't let me bring her back Ted Drewes, and she refused a tip. She did it out of pure kindness and in the process gained a future loyal customer if I ever need new glasses!

I was setting up an appointment for my 5 year old and could not be more impressed by Brenda and Dr. ... O’Brien. They answered all of my questions so thoughtfully. I am so bummed that they don’t take my insurance. I liked them so much that I thought about paying out of pocket for his exam. Thank you both so much!
