Paul Michael Bernier, O.D.

Paul Michael Bernier, O.D. received his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Indiana State University.

Specializing in fitting contact lenses and medical-based optometry, Dr. Bernier believes sight to be a great gift and enjoys helping others to enhance and maintain their vision. He served as a Certified Low Vision Specialist for St. Louis Society for the Blind from 1990 – 2008 and an Adjunct Professor at Washington University in St. Louis. He was a Beta Sigma Kappa Noteworthy Practitioner and a J. Harold Bailey Award recipient.

Dr. Bernier became an optometrist because he was fascinated by the complexity of the eye and wanted to have a practice that included the ability to be able to work with children.

When he is not treating patients, Dr. Bernier enjoys fishing, going to Colorado (his home away from home), the lake house, and developing the cabin property. He also enjoys spending time with his kids and grandkids and attending the St. Louis CITY soccer and the St. Louis Blues hockey games.
